christmas cookies + DIY ornaments
Christmas season is in full swing and we are feeling festive in our christmas pyjamas already! I love gifting my kiddos new matching holiday jammies at the beginning of December (normally on the day we decorate our christmas tree) so that they can wear them for the whole month!
We also have an advent calendar full of activities to do (you can find the DIY with printable activity cards here!), and there are cards for “make christmas cookies” and “make ornaments for the tree”. So today we decided to do both of those activities for a fun festive afternoon! We made chocolate gingerbread men to decorate and candy cane sugar cookies.
For the ornaments - I made a cornstarch dough using this recipe, and used cookie cutters to cut out different sizes of stars and snowflakes (making sure to add a hole in the top before I baked them!) Then, the kids helped add these christmas tattoos onto the fronts of the stars to make really cute ornaments, and we tied string to the top! It was such an easy activity and the kids loved adding the tattoos!
