CHOO CHOO Ethan is TWO!
CHOO CHOO! Ethan is TWO! and we celebrated with a fun train party at The Park! As always, I started off the inspiration for the party with a colour scheme I liked, and then designed the invitation. The invitation design is always my jumping-off point for the rest of the graphic details and decor, so seeing it all come together is my favourite part! Since we live near the mountains, I knew I wanted to incorporate them into the decor, and use balloons for “clouds”, and keep the rest really simple!
I loved these striped plates from A Little Confetti, and somehow magically found fabric that matched them perfectly to add some mint green stripes to the “choo choo” letters that I made for a fun graphic sign on the wall.
How sweet are these cotton candy “steam clouds” on top of the cupcakes? The Sugar Cube YYC has the best treats, and this white birthday cake flavoured cotton candy was SO good!
this graphic sign is available to download in my digital shop!
I found this little cardboard train and KNEW it would be perfect! It was the perfect size for the kids, and I love that the kids can colour on it later, play with it, and then it can be recycled!
We set up the kids snack table next to the play area, and it worked so well. I love having a place for the kids to sit down and have their party snacks and treats since they tend to take multiple snack breaks! Ok I NEED to talk about The Park for a second : this indoor play facility is honestly not only the most visually-appealing ‘play place’ I’ve ever seen, but also so well designed and thoughtful when it comes to children and their imaginations! All of the play structures were made by Charmed Playhouses and are absolutely incredible! The whole play surface is covered in synthetic turf on top of a safe, soft, spongy floor. There are also lots of open-ended play stations and toys added throughout that spark creative and active play. AND - here’s the best part - while your kids play you can enjoy a latte (serving local Rosso coffee!) from their espresso bar! We are so fortunate to have this facility right in our community, and it was the perfect location for Ethan’s birthday party. We were able to book a private rental for the duration of our party, and it couldn’t have worked out better! This is the first time I’ve hosted a birthday party outside of our home and wow… I don’t think I’ll ever go back!
This invitation is in my digital shop and you can customize it for your own little train party!
