TWO FAST race car party
My sweet nephew turned TWO in April, and as his gift, I decided to throw him a party! If you know Fuller, you know he’s the definition of ‘too fast’— he walked (and RAN) early, talks better than any two-year-old I know, and will SHOCK you with his physical abilities and overall fast+furious personality! He goes hard all day long (he’s got multiple stitches to prove it) and he loved being the centre of attention at his party! (oh and we loved celebrating him and spoiling him all day!)
I had the canvas “two fast” banner printed, and made the canvas race flag bunting myself. I got a little carried away making the balloon garland (who doesn’t?), and added some white washi tape to the black #2 balloon to make it look like a road! Of course, we had custom sugar cookies, chocolate cake, cupcakes, a snack plate + popcorn. I hope Fuller had fun at his little party, (aunty told him he could have as many treats as he wanted!)
When I first saw these fun race car plates from A Little Confetti - I just knew I wanted to plan a modern race car party, but with a non-traditional colour scheme (no red!) that my black+neutral-loving sister would approve of! I went with peach, teal, mint + black, and I think all came together really well!
I LOVE how the balloons turned out - you can buy the balloon garland kit here - so easy!
I got all of the tableware from A Little Confetti - these adorable race car plates, race car cups, striped napkins, wooden cutlery, round green plates and paper straws were perfect to set up the kids table!
For the goodie bags, I used canvas drawstring bags, and added an iron-on transfer to the front to customize them. I filled them with a little notebook+crayons, modelling clay, granola bar, gold trophy + wooden car.
I love designing invitations for all of the parties I plan. They are always my starting point for all of the graphics and help me to narrow down and commit to a colour scheme! You can download your own custom TWO FAST party invitation in my digital shop!
This mini #2 sparkler candle added a fun element to the cake! I made a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream, and kept the top simple with a wooden car on top and a felt bunting garland
I designed these custom stickers and ordered them on little sheets from Moo - and the kids got to decorate their little wooden cars! They loved putting the ones with Fuller’s face on the window as the driver! I think custom stickers might be my new favourite thing!
