easter basket ideas
I can’t believe Easter is this weekend already! I have to say that putting together these baskets for my littles has been a fun distraction amidst the heaviness of the world right now - and gave me something to do while we’re at home! It was fun to put together both a girls and boys basket this year for the first time. I am slowly getting used to this boy-mom thing! Even though we won’t be celebrating Easter with extended family this year like we planned, we are still going to try and make it special and memorable with just our family at home! For our Easter baskets - I like to include some new spring clothes and accessories, a book, and a fun toy. I also add a few little snacks as well (like Annie’s bunnies fruit snacks and crackers) in some paper eggs to keep it fun, but we typically try to avoid a candy/chocolate overload!
In the spirit of “use what you have” I re-used this basket from last year, and made the cotton ribbons from an old sheet! I just tore the fabric at random widths, and dyed the yellow one using turmeric, and the pink one using avocado! It was so much fun to try natural dyes.
