high five! for ethan's 5th birthday

We recently celebrated Ethan’s 5th birthday with a fun HIGH FIVE party in our backyard! The kids bounced on the trampoline, played yard games, ate treats and the BEST part?? Playing in the giant bubble house from Little Chic Parties! Ethan and his little friends from preschool had a blast running around and playing with the balloons.

Keeping it simple with the “high five” theme, I kind of based the colour scheme off of Five Alive juice boxes using yellow, orange, blue and green for the decor. For the kids’ snack table, I used a cute yellow tablecloth with plates and napkins from A Little Confetti (these yellow dinner plates, smiley plates, and blue checkered napkins). I found some cute pool floaties and beach balls at the dollar store and tossed them in the trampoline (mostly so that they wouldn’t blow away!) but the kids had fun playing with them as well.

For the favours, I got little sand pails from the dollar store that came with little shovels and rakes. I added a pair of sunglasses, sidewalk chalk, a hand clapper, and sticky hand, and I tied on a little orange smiley face tag with each child’s name on it. To go with the theme, I made custom tags for the sticky hands and chalk - you can download them here!
