lucky charms + rainbows forever
Lauren was really excited about St. Patrick’s Day this year - as her grade 1 class was going to be making Leprechaun traps! So we figured out a design for her trap and spent a long time making it (she was so invested in the process!) Evidently, her trap didn’t catch anything, but we sure had fun with it!
To keep the spirit going - I planned a little breakfast for the morning of St. Patrick’s day too, mostly because I had these adorable mini rainbow pinatas stored away and this seemed like the perfect time to use them! I put a few gold coins inside, some beaded necklaces and bracelets to wear at school, and glow sticks.
As always, we had Lucky Charms cereal, green apples, and “golden muffins” (pineapple coconut - so good!) I sprinkled some Lucky Charms marshmallows on top of the muffins, and added a few toppers like chocolate coins, and washi tape flags. I used some paper plates that I had (pink hearts, gold stars, and shamrocks) to make a little backdrop on the window to tie in with the lucky charms!
