peachy-pink modern halloween party
As soon as A Little Confetti started sharing their cute Halloween party supplies I knew I wanted to plan a little party for Lauren and a few of her close friends. Who knows what Halloween will look like in 2020, but a little party at home sounds perfect to me! If you know me well, you know that Halloween is not my thing (scary, gory, orange, purple…just not for me!) but cute friendly ghosts, painted pumpkins, confetti, cotton candy and PINK decor? Ok this version of Halloween I can do!
We had delicious treats, played pin the spider on the web, made a little ghost craft, and got creative with halloween-themed play dough kits. It was a fun afternoon with a few of Lauren’s best friends!
We had so much fun with the confetti! I may still be vacuuming it up until Christmas...but I have absolutely no regrets! This Boo Confetti was perfect - I sprinkled some on the table, and left enough for all of the kids to throw (multiple times!)
I put together little goodie bags for each of the party guests that included: a spooky wand, stickers, glow sticks, ghost bath bomb, mini scrunchie + bow hair tie set, and other little spooky treats. I made the little canvas bucket-bags, and they were a sweet addition to the place settings on the table, and something fun for the kids to take home with them.
Blueeyed Baker made these adorable (and delicious!) ghost cookies and they added a fun, non-spooky treat for our party that matched the decor perfectly!
This cotton candy from The Sugar Shop is honestly the best cotton candy I’ve ever had! I love that it’s a local shop, and the flavours I chose were the perfect colours for the party: orange, bubblegum and coconut! I filled each of these mini skeleton cauldrons with the cotton candy and added them to each place setting. I loved the black+white grid plates, iridescent ghost plates, and bat napkins from A Little Confetti. I like that they are a modern take on halloween decor, and they looked sweet all layered together at each place setting!
For a fun activity, I made these little BOO play dough kits for each guest as well. Inspired by the incredibly creative @AlexandraJoyWIg , I made the play dough using my favourite recipe, and added a few halloween-themed trinkets for them to play and create with.
For the party snacks, I made this charcuterie platter of all the best pink/peach/white/black treats! I love that it provides a variety of items and adds to the fun decor as well.
How cute are these BOO party cups and straws?
For a few more activities, we made a little ghost craft using cotton balls and added silly faces with sparkly peach cardstock cutouts. Then we played ‘pin the spider on the web’ - I just put double-sided tape on the back of the paper spiders, and each of the kids were able to take lots of turns!
